Hospital Pollution Prevention Program
The California Department of Public Health has worked with hospitals statewide
to develop plans that assist in pollution prevention. These plans include goals
for the virtual elimination of mercury, implementing systems improvements, as
well as lessening the creation of solid, medical, and hazardous waste.
Hospital Waste Reduction Posters and Stickers
CalRecycle hosts Encapsulated Post Script (EPS) versions of
the "Know Where to Throw" poster and sticker. EPS files are very large high
quality digital files used by professional graphic artists and professional
printers to create high definition reproductions. The poster is a great
educational tool to inform staff about red bag and non-red-bag waste. The poster
and sticker are available for health care facilities and agencies who wanted to
reproduce their own copies.
