How to Apply to Become a WIC Authorized Farmer or Market

Authorization Requirements

Farmers:

• Must have a current Producer’s Certificate (CPC) issued by the county Agricultural Commissioner.
• Must sell produce at a WIC Authorized Farmers' Market.
• Meet the training requirement.
  
• Complete an Application/Agreement and submit to the CDPH/ WIC Division.
  

• Please contact the WIC farmers’ market team at wicfmnp@cdph.ca.gov or (916) 928-8513 to obtain an application to become a WIC authorized FMNP farmer or market.
  

Markets:

• Must be a Certified Farmers’ Market (CFM) with a valid certificate issued by the county Agricultural Commissioner.
• Meet the training requirement.
  

• Complete an Application/Agreement and submit to the CDPH/ WIC Division.
