× The federal government has shut down due to the failures of the President and Congress to continue government funding. Millions of Californians receiving benefits from state programs may be impacted. For now, California’s Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) will continue to provide services and enroll eligible families as long as funding is available. No new federal funding to California WIC will be provided until the President and Congress take action. Families should continue to use their WIC benefits and attend their WIC appointments. This information is subject to change, so please monitor the California WIC website for updates.

Participant Centered Education (PCE)

PCE for Individual Education

This training will help attendees learn about and practice the basic PCE principles, techniques and steps involved in individual education. Each session is 2 consecutive days: 9am - 4pm each day.

PCE for Group Education

This training will help attendees learn to use PCE group education designs to lead effective classes. This training builds on the PCE-related knowledge, skills and attitudes acquired from PCE for Individual Education. Each session is 2 consecutive days: 9am - 4pm each day.

PCE Mentoring

This training will help attendees use PCE principles and techniques while observing and giving feedback to other WIC staff and to feel comfortable as PCE role models. Each session is 2 days, one month apart, 9am - 4:30pm each day.
