× The federal government has shut down due to the failures of the President and Congress to continue government funding. Millions of Californians receiving benefits from state programs may be impacted. For now, California’s Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) will continue to provide services and enroll eligible families as long as funding is available. No new federal funding to California WIC will be provided until the President and Congress take action. Families should continue to use their WIC benefits and attend their WIC appointments. This information is subject to change, so please monitor the California WIC website for updates.

The California Department of Public Health’s Center for Health Care Quality is requesting stakeholder involvement in developing regulations for certified hemodialysis technician training programs.

The California Department of Public Health’s Center for Health Care Quality (Department) is seeking assistance from providers of dialysis services and hemodialysis training programs in developing regulations for CHT training programs.

The Department is developing new regulations defining the requirements for operators of CHT training and testing programs in California, pursuant to California Business and Professions Code sections 1247.4 and 1274.5.

Interested stakeholders are encouraged to provide input and comments related to the development of CHT training regulations. Please complete the CHT Training Program Survey at: CHT Training Program Survey and email any additional information or comments to Joshua Sutterfield at Joshua.Sutterfield@cdph.ca.gov by August 31, 2016.
