ā€‹Indoor Air at Work & COVID-19

new fact sheet (PDF) highlights how to improve the air quality indoors to reduce the risk of COVID-19.	portable fan pushing indoor air out while fresh air enters through the open window

The fact sheet provides links to a longer guidance document on indoor air quality and ventilation that Cal/OSHA requires employers to review, as well as to the updated Cal/OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard.

You will learn:

  • how to use ventilation to improve indoor air quality and why it's important

  • do's and don'ts when using fans

  • tips if you have a mechanical heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (or HVAC) system, and

  • helpful hints and links on portable air cleaning devices.

We have also developed user-friendly social media graphics and short videos that help to explain California ventilation requirements for preventing COVID-19. See the samples below or on our Tools for Workers webpages.
