The Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health (MCAH) Division is part of the California Department of Public Health’s Center for Family Health. MCAH works to improve the health and well-being of women, infants, children and adolescents throughout the state. An array of programs and initiatives serve California’s diverse populations and regions, providing important resources, information and data about reproductive health, family planning, pregnancy, birth defects and more. Focusing on comprehensive health for the individual—including physical, emotional, mental and social—leads to happier, healthier communities which together comprise a stronger, safer and healthier California for all.
