× The federal government has shut down due to the failures of the President and Congress to continue government funding. Millions of Californians receiving benefits from state programs may be impacted. For now, California’s Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) will continue to provide services and enroll eligible families as long as funding is available. No new federal funding to California WIC will be provided until the President and Congress take action. Families should continue to use their WIC benefits and attend their WIC appointments. This information is subject to change, so please monitor the California WIC website for updates.

Please be wary of potential highly partisan political messaging while visiting federal government websites for information related to the federal government shutdown.

Welcome to the new Shots For School website!

Find the same content at this new location. Parents can find information about which immunizations their child needs before starting school or childcare. School and child care staff can find tools to help implement California's immunization requirements.

News:

  • The School and Childcare Roster Lookup (SCRL) is now available! An invitation to register was sent to authorized CAIR2 School Users on 10/25/22. This new application quickly returns the immunization status for each child on your roster found in the California Immunization Registry (CAIR), using pre-K or K-12 immunization requirements. You can easily see which children are up to date or behind on their immunizations.

  • The reporting site is now open and will close January 31, 2023. You can start the process by reviewing the reporting instructions.

  • CDPH is thrilled to announce the launch of a  free online training for schools to support implementation of school immunization requirements!  

  • COVID-19 Vaccine Requirements for students are postponed until at least the 2023–2024 school year. Please continue your efforts to help students catch up and stay up to date with COVID-19 and other routine immunizations. See this press release from CDPH.

  • Audits: In school year 2021–2022, the annual financial and compliance audits of public schools will include an immunization component for schools with kindergarten or 7th grade. View the Audits page for more information.
