Reporting Requirements
Am I required to report?
āāAccording to Section 124130 of the California Health and Safety Code, the analyzing laboratory is required to report the results of all blood lead drawn in California to the EBLR System.
What must I report?
All blood lead levels must be reported along with the information specified in California Health and Safety Code, Section 124130.
How do I report?
The EBLR System is used to report all blood lead levels. Your laboratory must be enrolled, and you must have a user account to report.

What is the reporting timeframe?

When reporting blood lead results, how do I determine the detection limits?
The detection options are based on the instrument detection limits. Please follow the manufacturer guidelines.
We have a LeadCare II device, but the result is displaying as "low." How do I report the result?
When this occurs, report the blood lead level as "3.3" and select "Below (<) Detection Limits." Low indicates a blood lead test result is less than 3.3 Āµg/dL.
We have a LeadCare II device, but the result is displaying as "high." How do I report the result?
When this occurs, report the blood lead level as "65" and select "Above (>) Detection Limits." High indicates a blood lead test result greater than 65.0 Āµg/dL.

How do I enroll my laboratory to report?
Complete the EBLR Contact Form and select "Lab is enrolling to report into the EBLR System" as the contact reason.

How do I register for an EBLR user account?
Complete the EBLR Contact Form and select "Lab is requesting new user accounts or password reset" as the contact reason.
I forgot my username; how do I retrieve it?
Complete the EBLR Contact Form and select "Lab is requesting new user accounts or password reset" as the contact reason.
How do I reset my password?
Complete the EBLR Contact Form and select "Lab is requesting new user accounts or password reset" as the contact reason.
How do I upload data files for reporting?
The Upload Data File option allows approved laboratories to transmit batch files containing blood lead test results.
If interested, please contact EBLRSupport@cdph.ca.gov for specifications and information about coming on board with batch file reporting.
How do I correct a test result that I've already submitted?
In the EBLR System, go to the "Submit Lab Results" box and select "Correct a Result Previously Submitted Using the On-Line Blood Lead Reporting Form." Enter all data including the corrected fields.
Updates
Our laboratory is no longer testing for blood lead, what should we do?
Complete the EBLR Contact Form and select "Lab is discontinuing testing" as the contact reason.
How do I update my laboratory's contact information?
