Final Announcement of Awards

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health Division (MCAH) is pleased to announce the successful applicants and funding awards for AFLP for the contract period of July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2023.

CDPH/MCAH received 27 applications, of which the 16 highest scoring applicants have been selected for funding. To maximize the number of awards, CDPH/MCAH used a needs-based funding methodology and applied the mid-range funding levels, as outlined in the RFA, corresponding to an adjusted case management fulltime equivalency. Details on Title XIX requested amounts will be provided at a later date for sites to which this applies.

CDPH/MCAH notes that the RFA process was highly competitive and thanks all applicants for their thoughtful proposals and commitment to promoting the health of expectant and parenting youth in California.

Awards are contingent upon federal funding levels and appropriations, contract negotiations, and state spending authority. Prior to and during contract negotiations, applicants will be required to submit additional budget and contract information to meet the RFA and Title XIX requirements (if applicable) and may be required to submit program information for final approval. Upon completion of contract negotiations, a contract will be executed.
