The Office of Professional Development & Engagement (OPDE) promotes organizational excellence and empowerment by providing equitable access to resources and development opportunities for CDPH staff, partners, and stakeholders. Our core functional areas include quality improvement, strategic planning, wellness, mentoring, employee recognition, training, leadership development, and accreditation. As a department, we recognize the value of our staff and that they are the backbone of our organization. Having an empowered, healthy staff with the knowledge and skills to serve the public efficiently and effectively is key.
