× The federal government has shut down due to the failures of the President and Congress to continue government funding. Millions of Californians receiving benefits from state programs may be impacted. For now, California’s Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) will continue to provide services and enroll eligible families as long as funding is available. What was your internship with CDPH?

I interned with the Fusion Center where I was able to refine my data analyzation and research skills as well as work on cool projects like Let's Get Healthy California, the Place Based Initiative, and the California Community Burden of Disease and Cost Engine project.

How did your internship help you get to where you are today?

My internship experience helped me find my passion in Public Health and realize that I want to pursue a career as a health education specialist.
