× The federal government has shut down due to the failures of the President and Congress to continue government funding. Millions of Californians receiving benefits from state programs may be impacted. For now, California’s Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) will continue to provide services and enroll eligible families as long as funding is available. No new federal funding to California WIC will be provided until the President and Congress take action. Families should continue to use their WIC benefits and attend their WIC appointments. This information is subject to change, so please monitor the California WIC website for updates.

This addendum modifies Attachment 3 – Program Narrative Template for California Personal Responsibility Education Program (CA PREP) in the Request for Applications (RFA). This addendum also modifies Part VIII. Contract Budget & Justification, Section B. Required Budget Detail of the RFA. Details included below.

  1. Modifications to Attachment 3 – Program Narrative Template

    The updated Attachment 3 (PDF) was published on the CA PREP RFA webpage on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.

  2. Modifications to Part VIII. Contract Budget & Justification, Section B. Required Budget Detail

    The PREP RFA posted on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 said the following on page 42:

    The "Budget Detail and Justification" worksheet (second tab) shall be used to enter specific cost breakdowns for each budget line item. Completion of the second tab will automatically populate the "Original Budget Summary Page" (third tab).

    Use whole dollars only when entering costs into the budget templates. Round fractional dollar amounts or cents to the nearest whole dollar amount.

    Through this addendum, the information above, should be replaced with the following corrected information:

    The "Budget Development Guide" worksheet (second tab) explains how to complete "FY21-22" (third tab). Please read carefully before completing the "FY21-22" budget template.

    When completing the "FY21-22" (third tab) budget template, use whole dollars only when entering costs into the budget templates. Round fractional dollar amounts or cents to the nearest whole dollar amount.
