The Office of Problem Gambling (OPG) was established under Section 4369 of the Welfare and Institutions Code and is charged with developing and providing quality statewide prevention and treatment programs and services to address gambling disorder, to the people of California.
Gambling disorder can affect anyone, without regard to age, gender, ethnicity, religion, income or any other classifications. Not only does it affect the gambler, but family members and friends will also experience negative consequences.
