August Breastfeeding Observances
In August, we celebrate breastfeeding: World Breastfeeding Week, Indigenous Milk Medicine Week, Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Breastfeeding Week, and Black Breastfeeding Week. In honor of this, the Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health (MCAH) Division partnered with WIC to develop social media posts and graphics to promote the many health benefits of breastfeeding and
chestfeeding.
