Healthy Relationships
There are many different kinds of relationships. You may have relationships with many people: friends, family, boyfriends/girlfriends, partners or a spouse. In a healthy relationship, both people respect, trust and support each other. Having healthy relationships is an important part of your overall health. Having someone supportive to talk to, makes you feel better about yourself and can improve your health. An unhealthy relationship is harmful to your health, and an abusive partner may prevent you from getting the medical care you need to stay healthy. In addition, if you get pregnant, physical, sexual and emotional abuse can be harmful to you and the baby.
