California WIC State Plan
The State Plan is a written agreement between the United States Department of Agriculture and CDPH/WIC Division that assures compliance with federal program requirements. The plan is submitted each year and covers October through September of each year.

| āBy 9/30/2023, continue virtual video appointment support beyond the COVID-19 public health emergency with a statewide contracted telehealth platform.

Promote and Support Breastfeeding |

By 9/30/2023, provide training and educational resources to new WIC local agencies that are starting a Breastfeeding Peer Counseling program.

| āBy 9/30/2023, develop at least two social media toolkits to promote the WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counseling program and the Regional Breastfeeding Liaison program.

āProcess Objective
| āBy 9/30/2023, identify nutrition education best practices for nutrition education plans. This will include identifying best practices for anticipatory breastfeeding guidance and infant feeding support.
