Overview
All NATPs must be renewed at least every two years, 42 CFR section 483.151(e).
New Renewal Form
The Department recently streamlined its school NATP renewal process by creating the CDPH 276SR (PDF) form entitled School Nurse Assistant Training Program Renewal for Classroom Training. This new form is located on the TPRU website and consists of an attestation and requires the submission of specific information and forms about each school NATP.
Instructional PowerPoint Available
A new instructional PowerPoint presentation (PDF) is available on the TPRU website to help you successfully complete the CDPH 276SR form. We encourage you to review the instructional presentation before completing the CDPH 276SR form to facilitate submitting a complete and accurate renewal application.
New Renewal Form Required to Renew
Effective the date of this notification, all school NATPs must renew their agreement using the CDPH 276SR form. School NATPs that fail to submit the new form to renew their agreement after the date of this notification, will be required to resubmit their renewal application using the new CDPH 276SR form.
Submit New Renewal Form Up to 90 Days Prior to Expiration
You may submit your application up to 90 calendar days prior to your school NATP agreement expiration date. Failure to submit your renewal application to TPRU prior to your expiration date may result in the cessation of your operation until an initial application can be approved. If your program does not know your NATP expiration date, we recommend that you send an email to the TPRU mailbox TPRU@cdph.ca.gov and request clarification regarding your renewal status. Your NATP expiration date can also be found on all communications notices received from TPRU.
You must submit your application to TPRU by email at TPRU@cdph.ca.gov or fax at (916) 636-6760. As of January 1, 2022, TPRU no longer accepts mailed applications.
Update Your Contact Information
We encourage you to always update TPRU with your latest contact information by proactively submitting a completed CDPH 193 (PDF) form to TPRU at TPRU@cdph.ca.gov.
Comply with All Requirements
It is the training program's responsibility to follow all applicable laws and regulations. We encourage you to refer to the full text of all applicable sections of the Code of Federal Regulations, California Health and Safety Code, and California Code of Regulations Title 22 to ensure compliance.
