× The federal government has shut down due to the failures of the President and Congress to continue government funding. Millions of Californians receiving benefits from state programs may be impacted. For now, California’s Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) will continue to provide services and enroll eligible families as long as funding is available. No new federal funding to California WIC will be provided until the President and Congress take action. Families should continue to use their WIC benefits and attend their WIC appointments. This information is subject to change, so please monitor the California WIC website for updates.

Please be wary of potential highly partisan political messaging while visiting federal government websites for information related to the federal government shutdown.

CPG

The California Planning Group (CPG) is the statewide HIV planning body that enables key stakeholders, communities, and providers to engage in active and ongoing dialogue with the Office of AIDS (OA) to reach the goals of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy and the statewide Integrated Plan. The main functions of this group are to work collaboratively with OA to develop a comprehensive HIV/AIDS surveillance, prevention, care, and treatment plan; to monitor the implementation of this plan; and to provide timely advice on emergent issues identified by OA and/or other key stakeholder parties. CPG is committed to working openly in a group to make decisions and is guided by the principles of equity, fairness, and respectful engagement.

CPG welcomes the participation and input of the general public. Members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend and observe any of the two face-to-face meetings in a given calendar year. CPG values community input and relies on the full active participation of its members and on organized, well-managed, processes leading to careful deliberations and decisions.

CPG Virtual Fall 2022 Meeting

The CPG and OA  hosted a four-part virtual meeting on October 25, 27, and November 1 and 3. On October 25, 2022 we hosted our fifth CPG Leadership Academy, which focused on skills and capacity building for our CPG members. October 25 was only open to current CPG members and wasn't open to the public. Beginning October 27, the meetings were open to the public. The meetings were comprised of four separate Zoom sessions (three hours and 15 minutes each day, (12:45 - 4:00 PM). There was a 10-minute public comment period on October 27, November 1, and 3. We had a productive and engaging meeting!
