The Refugee Center Online uses the power of the internet and mobile technology to overcome these barriers by making available all of the information that newcomers need in one online center. Our website provides programs and resources designed by and for refugees and immigrants. The RCOās services are free, translatable, and available from anywhere at any time. California's Refugee Resettlement Program (RRP) is
comprised of many program partners at the federal, state, county, and community
level. The RRP in California is 100 percent federally funded by the Office of
Refugee Resettlement and is state administered by the California Department of
Social Services, Refugee Programs Bureau (RPB). The RPB supervises county
operations and delivery of RRP benefits and services. The RRP assists eligible
refugees and other targeted populations to adjust socially and attain the skills
needed for finding employment and becoming self-sufficient as quickly as
possible. Promotes and improves the health of immigrants, refugees,
and migrants and prevent the importation of infectious diseases and other
conditions of public health significance into the U.S. by these groups. To
accomplish this goal the CDC plays a significant role in refugee health, both
overseas and domestically.
Videos are a thought-provoking and powerful way to
present information about refugees, their challenges, and their strengths. COR
Center videos are comprised of interviews with resettled refugees, using their
own words to share their thoughts and experiences.
The Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM)
provides aid and sustainable solutions for refugees, victims of conflict and
stateless people around the world, through repatriation, local integration, and
resettlement in the United States. PRM also promotes the United States'
population and migration policies. The RPC mission is to provide the necessary technical,
data and refugee processing support to assist DOS/PRM in achieving its annual
U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) objectives. RPC will devise and deliver
both technical and functional solutions that contribute to effective and
efficient refugee processing undertaken by PRM, RSCs, RPC, and PRM partners.
These solutions will permit the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program and its partners
to respond to dynamic worldwide events with flexibility and
adaptability. The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) helps new
populations maximize their potential in the United States by linking them to
critical resources that assist them in becoming integrated members of American
society.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees strives to ensure that everyone can exercise the right to
seek asylum and find safe refuge in another state, with the option to return
home voluntarily, integrate locally, or to resettle in a third
country.
