California Statewide Health Education
The Office of Problem Gambling provides health education and training (HEAT) services to aid in the identification of problem gambling behaviors and provide prevention and treatment resources to mitigate the effects problem gambling.
All health education services are provided at NO COST and can be customized to meet the needs of the requestors, included, in-language training, free educational resources and continuing education units (CEUās) for the below listed licensing agencies.
CEUs available through California Association of Marriage and Family Therapist (CAMFT), California Consortium of Addiction Programs of Professionals (CCAPP) and National Council of Problem Gambling (NCPG)
Health education services include the following (but not limited to):
Consultation:
Provided through scheduled meetings to the requestorās agency/facility
Outreach:
Provided through scheduled meetings at the requestorās agency/facility, virtual presentations, health fairs, associations and conferences
Training:
Provided through scheduled meetings to the requestorās agency/facility, via video/web conference, opportunity to provide continuing education units.
