The California Department of Public Health supports obesity prevention activities through various programs within the Center for Family Health, the Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, and the Office of Health Equity. Under the Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, the Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Branch collaborates obesity prevention efforts both internally and externally in alignment with the Department-wide initiatives.
