School Health Initiatives
Learning comes easier to children and youth who are healthy. Hunger, high-fat sugary foods, and inadequate physical activity can lead to poor attendance, distraction in the classroom, and other problems that impair academic success.
Schools can play a pivotal role in improving student wellness by promoting physical activity and the consumption of fruit, vegetables, and healthy beverages.
